After winning their maiden Major League Soccer title last season and a productive transfer window, Inter Miami have started well in their first title defence. However, they have yet to secure a victory at the newly opened Nu Stadium, and the Herons hope to get it this weekend.
Inter Miami will have their chance when they host the NY Red Bulls tomorrow. At the time of writing, the David Beckham-owned squad is fourth in the Eastern Conference with 11 points, level with second-seeded New York City and third-seeded Charlotte FC, and only two points adrift of top-seeded Nashville, whom they lost to recently in the CONCACAF Champions Cup.
Speaking of Nashville, they will visit Charlotte FC at the Bank of America Stadium tomorrow. And over in the Western Conference, LAFC plan to stay at the top with a road victory against the Portland Timbers.
Inter Miami vs NY Red Bulls
Inter Miami’s first game at the Nu Stadium ended in a 2-2 draw with Austin FC, as they mounted a late rally to secure a point in front of their home crowd. Guilherme Biro and Lionel Messi exchanged goals early, before Jayden Nelson made it 2-1 for Los Verdes. It took the Herons a while before Luis Suarez scored the equaliser in the 82nd minute.
The Herons continue to rely on Lionel Messi, who now has five goals so far this season. However, he has yet to record an assist, as his teammates have struggled to find the back of the net. Offseason signing German Berterame has yet to score, and no other Heron has notched more than one goal thus far. Questions about the team’s growing pains and structural imbalance have hounded Javier Mascherano’s men.
The NY Red Bulls are fresh from a 4-2 win over 10-man Cincinnati last time out, as Julian Hall, Emil Forsberg, and Mohammed Sofo were on the scoresheet in addition to Kyle Smith’s own goal. As a result, they improved to seventh place in the Eastern Conference with 10 points. The teenage duo of Julian Hall and Adri Mehmeti will use tomorrow as a chance to impress under the bright lights of Nu Stadium.

Charlotte vs Nashville
It’s been a busy week for Nashville, as they’re competing on two fronts – the CONCACAF Champions Cup and Major League Soccer – and their game against Charlotte FC tomorrow is their third match in six days. The Boys in Gold are eager to return to winning ways after their 1-0 loss to the Chicago Fire and goalless draw against Club America in the opening leg of their quarter-finals tie.
But before their winless run, Nashville pummeled Orlando City with a 5-0 scoreline, as Sam Surridge recorded a hat-trick, and Cristian Espinoza and Warren Madrigal were also on the scoresheet. Surridge was recently named Player of the Month for February and March, having notched seven goals in their first four matches this year.
Going up against Charlotte FC won’t be easy for Nashville, as The Crown also has a potent frontline. Wilfried Zaha and Idan Toklomati are threats in the final third, with Pep Biel pulling the strings in midfield. Biel already has four goals and two assists through the first six games of the season. On the other side of the pitch, Tim Ream and Morrison Agyemang make up for a solid rearguard. The SBOTOP Major League Soccer 2026 odds expect numerous Major League Soccer 2026 highlights from this contest.

Portland Timbers vs LAFC

The Portland Timbers are off to a lacklustre start, having lost four of their last five matches. They collapsed in their 3-2 loss to the Vancouver Whitecaps last weekend, having conceded two stoppage-time goals from Thomas Müller and Sebastian Berhalter. Because of this, Portland are nearly at the bottom of the Western Conference, following their eighth-place finish last year, putting manager Phil Neville on the hot seat. And now they’ll host the hottest team in North America.
LAFC are the only undefeated team remaining this season, and they’re fresh from impressive wins against Orlando City (6-0) and Cruz Azul (3-0) in the CONCACAF Champions Cup quarter-finals. Son Heung-Min recently posted a record-setting four assists in one half against Orlando City, and he’ll be looking for his first Major League Soccer goal of the season. Meanwhile, Denis Bouanga, already with four goals, plans to add to his tally to stay in the Golden Boot race.
Betting tip – LAFC Asian Handicap -1.00 @ 2.42
